#comments: Why Blog? Why I Blog.

Thanks for this post. I've been thinking about starting a blog (I know, late to the party as usual) and it's really caused me to think about my motivation for doing so.

ha3rvey, I recommend blogging, it's fun! But definitely don't do it for the money, the fame or the women... none of it seems overly forthcoming as far as I can tell. :) Blog because you find it enjoyable, if you're forcing yourself to do it, what's the point? Life's to short.

I have an idea for your blog. you can post some sort of flag on the interesting articles so i can skip the ones like this.

You better watch your back, cause there's a T888 tattoed on your ass. Again.

Bravo for blogging about what interests you - and feeling good about it. And I really like your blinding flash of the obvious: "How can you lose interest in your own interests? "

Thanks, there's been a bit of meta-blogging blogging happening and it got me started thinking about the what's and the wherefores. I genuinely was surprised at myself during the great dark period of this blog. :)

Blogging to keep in touch? Now that's something I've never thought of, but a great reason nonetheless.

And I don't think too many bloggers pay attention to that first rule of focus. I don't feel like I do. I just try to keep it tech related to be honest, but I do have certain topics I know I'll talk about more than others. Other than that, it's free for all fiesta over here!! :D WOO!

You're probably right, Corvida, I always kinda felt a little guilty about being so scattered with the blog, like I was hobbling myself or something. I've just released the burden of that guilt and embraced my inner miscellanea! :) Fiesta foreva!

I blog because it is cheaper than a psychiatrists. Other than Felix I have about 15 readers and I honestly don't need any more. It's a great way to practice different writing techniques too, not to mention an excellent way for x girlfriends to stalk you on the interwebs.
