SplashID is actually ok when it works. It syncs across devices (stay away form the cloud version for sure). But it often doesn't work and there is the problem. You will lose all your data (files are gibberish, files are gone) and there is only email support. They don't even bother to read your email. I have gotten essentially the same response to every problem I have had - it is a script and all further communication is a waste of time.

So don't waste time entering your data because you will lose it and then need blood pressure medication when you have a frustrating, useless 2-week interaction with "support". Also the program is not free, so it is also a waste of money.

When it does work, it is a little bit of a pain because the catagories don't have particularly useful features (bank accounts in the 21 century have a user name and password, a telephone pin, a routing number) - all of these can be added but you have to custom add it.

Wrike and Basecamp are competitors but ProofHub is best from these because of its simplicity and powerful nature. It has more features than both.

I use both paid services and agree with the article, and greatly disagree with Gregory Emsellem. Google is just easier to setup, I have control of the mx settings, and add security so my domain won't be spoofed in spam emails. Yahoo is 10 years behind in everything. Gmail might lose 1 of my emails a year tops, whereas Yahoo loses a handful a month, not to mention delays random emails on average of 10 minutes. In a month, I get 10 delayed emails for at least 12 hours, the longest was 48 hours. I have about a dozen users in my department. Speaking of users, it's impossible to do admin work on them. Like the author described, not only do I have to pass their security tests, but I have to know my users' security answers. I cannot bypass them even though I'm the *admin*. Yahoo Business email is so discombobulated that it's not even worth the $10/year for unlimited everything. My business is worth more than that, and I should've paid for something more professional. Yahoo small business is not enterprise level, much less entry-level. It's embarrassing that a company this size would duct tape random apps and services (personal yahoo id?) to a business application. In order to create a spam blacklist, you have to go to individual user accounts and type in address. You can't even copy/paste whole lists. The lack of domain-level control for something this simple is infuriating. Yahoo Business is utter failure; it's a test of patience not just for you, but for your clients/ customers.

I have used basecamp and wrike but would rather go with proofhub, another nice project management software. Basecamp and wrike have complex usability where proofhub offers easy user interface and better collaboration features. http://www.proofhub.com
